Godavari, with its rushing streams and shady meadows, serves as a popular picnic spot amongst Nepalese. You may also find families spending some quality time at this place. On every twelve years, in autumn, a huge festival called Maha Kumbhamela takes place at Godavari Temple.

Phulchoki Hill is renowned for its beautiful hiking trails, that pass through wilderness.
